Holmes migrated from Albert Town in Trewlawny in search of fulfilling his musical dream of recording his voice on one of the track coming out of the studios of Kingston.He started voicing of the sound system Crystal Disco where he caught the attention of producer Danny Brownie who produced his first song in 1993 "Bad in a School".

I t was then he caught the attention of Lincoln "Sugar Minott" and the two forged a relationship that lasted until the death of Sugar Minott. He went on tour with Sugar and Simpleton to Japan and was a fixture wherever Sugar Minott tour Japan and help to establish the reggae/dancehall market in Japan.
